Yahtzee

I spent the day playing soccer and Yahtzee with Jean, Sarah, Sampsa, Storm, and some of their friends and bandmates. We played three full games of Yahtzee and Sarah won at least two games and I think Niko won the other.

The new babies, Sam (18 days old) and Henna (13 days old), are growing like weeds. Sarah is telling the truth when she says that Henna looks just like Sampsa. She's like a little clone of him. Sam looks a bit like Marcellus, but not as much.

I want to say thank you to Sarah for letting us keep the layout. Hopefully you'll be able to get rest soon. ;-)

I Have To Admit...

I'm sitting here watching my eight beautiful babies, their mother, her husband, and their new baby girl.

I have to admit that I'm happy.

Hannele is gorgeous and Sarah is more than happy. My angel and all of my kids are healthy and happy. I couldn't ask for more.

Don't blame Sarah and Sampsa for our separation. None of it was her fault, all of it was mine. Sampsa and Jean-Claude had very little to do with our decision.

I think Sarah and I were lying to ourselves, or at least I was lying to myself, about why we were still together. She was trying so hard to just be happy and comfortable with me... I didn't notice that until I saw her with Sampsa.

I fully support Sarah's marriage to Sampsa, as she fully supports my newly official relationship with Jean-Claude.

Their relationship probably seemed sudden to all of you, but really it was no surprise to those closest to them. Sampsa lets Sarah be herself and be comfortable with who she is, an 18-year-old girl who still needs to find who she actually is.

I'd wish them luck, but I don't think they'll need it.

BLOG NEWS! I'm not good at keeping up with this blog by myself so, Jean came up with this plan last night.

Jean-Claude, Sampsa, and I will share the blog. SEH's babies-daddies sort of thing. Oh, she's going to hate that I even typed that.

Stay tuned for a revamp of the blog, hopefully by the talented woman who designed the other blogs. ;-)

Nephilim

When Sarah told me what she was naming her second book, I was a bit skeptical. I thought like most people around here. I thought Nephilim would bring to many questions that she'd have to answer over and over. For one, what does Nephilim mean?

I completely changed my outlook when she showed me the cover that she had chosen.

I have been working with Sarah, as she's told you all, throughout the process of writing Nephilim. She's got more enthusiasm about this book than I've seen her have for much else. She has put her heart and soul into it. I know the story can hold itself up, but the title was a bit off for me. The cover sold it for me though. When she just said Nephilim... first of all, I didn't know exactly what she said. She had to repeat it.

The research she compiled for just that one word is astounding. Reading through the hundreds of pages, I figured out that the word Nephilim is perfect.

White roses signify honor, virtue, and innocence. Take a white rose and have a bloody knife hovering above it... you've got the ideal image for what Sarah is trying to convey within this book.

Blood Red Roses was sort of the introduction into our lives and most importantly, Sarah's mind. Nephilim jumps head-first into the deep end and doesn't let you come up for air.

Well, it's 2:40 in the morning... as Wiz said over on the Royal Family blog, Sarah will be posting on her blog as soon as she gets her coffee. I'll make sure of it.

Blood Red Roses

Long time, no post. I just wanted to congratulate my wife for completing something. She's been working non-stop on this book since July. I'm extremely proud of her. We're all proud of her.

I haven't read it. For some reason everyone keeps asking me if it's good. I don't know. Knowing Sarah, it's amazing, but I don't know. I haven't read it yet. Hopefully soon I will be able to tell you guys how wonderful it is.

To purchase the book, go to her blog and there's links everywhere for it.

Paris

Just enjoyed a wonderful dinner with Sarah and the kids. Sarah made some lasagna, all by herself. Sarah and Charm are playing with Tony right now. Charm's the only one of the kids that are brave enough to play with Tony. She's the most adventurous of the kids. Emmy, who's surprisingly awake, and Emma are watching Beverly Hills Chihuahua. The boys are with Jasper and Lucian. They took them for a walk through the gardens. The gardens were started by Sarah when she was Christine and have been continued by many of her children. It's the most beautiful garden I have ever seen and I'm not saying that because it was envisioned by Sarah. It is genuinely the most spectacular thing I have ever seen.

Marcellus, Dean, and I went with Sarah when she drove around Toronto today. She is getting a lot of practice lately and hasn't killed us yet.

We're going to take the kids to see the Eiffel Tower tonight. It will be the first time for the little ones. As little as Sarah and I like the tower, the kids should see it. It is a piece of architectural history.

Here's a video of an interview Emmett did over in Bonn, Germany while we were there for RingCon.

I love this picture. Reminds me of all the hours it took to teach you to do that. ;-)

Emmett's Angel Wings... continued

Relationships are hard... really hard. I never thought they would be, but then again, I haven't had many "normal" relationships. I'm not exactly sure what's going on right now, but it's starting to drive me crazy. There's a lot of ducking and avoidance going on from a certain somebody. Okay, here's the deal... Jean-Claude and my engagement is off. He ended it with no explanation. It wouldn't be so uncomfortable if I didn't have to see Jean-Claude everywhere. We have had a string of meetings and we're two of the main ones so, we have to go to every one. Not to mention we have two babies that should have both of their parents. I would completely understand the whole thing if he would just tell me why he's avoiding me. My relationship with Emmett has gotten to a point where there is no negativity or chaos. It's perfect. If it weren't, I wouldn't have been so alright with Jean-Claude's breaking away. Maybe he saw how much closer Emmett and I got on our trip to Germany. I don't know. I probably won't know.

Sarah posted this on her blog about an hour ago. I couldn't have said any of it better myself. I can't say that I'm not happy that my wife is not seeing anyone else. I have to agree that it's uncomfortable. It's uncomfortable for all of us. I just want to support my wife no matter what she decides to do. I will do anything in my power to keep her happy and it's kind of hard when one of her close friends is abandoning her.

Breaking News!

Sarah gave birth to two healthy babies tonight. Again unexpectedly. She and Jean-Claude are the proud new parents of a baby boy and girl. The little ones don't have names yet, but as soon as they do, you will now.

Update on Sarah

Sarah wanted me to come on here and let all of you know that she's okay. A bit banged up and nursing a major headache, but she's on her way to recovering completely.

Thank You

I'd like to formally thank everyone for all the happy birthday wishes. Every year the love gets more intense, on both sides.

It still surprises me when my birthday comes because I get so many messages, letters, phone calls... it's baffling. I always looked at Sarah's lifestyle and thought, "I wonder what it feels like to have so much adoration and love from everyone." I think I know how it feels now.

I'd also like to thank my family. Sarah, somehow, managed to surprise me yet again with a birthday party "fit for a king". She sacrificed her own comfort to throw a three hour party. She managed to get Jasper and the rest of the guys to channel their energy into getting me out of the way while she got the entire party set up. How she did that will forever be a mystery to me.

I couldn't have asked for a better birthday. I had my family and friends with me and that's all I wanted.
