I just watched a couple video clips of you guys on YouTube. I have a question about one of your Finland gigs. Sampsa is talking to Niko in Finnish and gesturing in the direction of backstage. I think he says something about Henna. It sounds a lot like "Henna Tuula". Is there any way someone could translate?
Brandy, the show you're talking about was a Tsavo gig in Finland. It was last week (10.20.2010).
Even for singular gigs, we travel together. Storm and the Chesticles had a gig in Portland, but I stuck with my dudes and went to Finland. Henna, who is intolerant of bottles, was there also.
Niko asks Sampsa where I went and Sampsa goes into an explanation:
"Vauva tuli nälkä." = The baby got hungry.
Niko says something about needed their guitarist, which I was acting as that night.
"Sinä ja Hannele Tuula voidaan puhua myöhemmin." = You and Hannele Tuula can talk about it later.
At the mention of Henna, the crowd goes a little crazy and Sampsa looks out at them, smiling.
"Vaimoni on vapaaehtoisesti soittamaan kitaraa tänä iltana. Äitiys kutsui häntä pois hetkeksi, mutta hän tulee takaisin." = My wife has volunteered to play guitar for us tonight. Motherhood called her away for a brief moment, but she'll be back.
Brandy, I wish it were more interesting than that, but it's not. :-D
